AWA Conference to Explore Shrink Sleeve Labeling

The AWA International Sleeve Label Conference and Exhibition (ISLCE), takes place this year in Europe on April 1-3, in Amsterdam, with the third day at the Empack exhibition in Brabanthallen-Hertogenbosch. With enormous growth in this labeling technology around the world, this year’s conference will spotlight shrink sleeve labeling and its future.

End-user customers agree that shrink sleeve labeling delivers unique, complex product identification as well as much-valued product decoration. Pernod Ricard is a brand owner skilled in the use of the technology, and Lucas Helferty, production specialist, Pernod Ricard, will share some of the successes that help his company maintain the on-shelf presence of its products. Erik Troost, L’Oréal’s retail and trade marketing manager, professional products division, will provide his company’s perspective. Multi-Pack Solutions will highlight current trends and demands as experienced by a top contract packer.

The program also will feature speakers and panel discussions from leading technology companies, including Bonset, Flint Group, Gallus, HP, Karlville and Verst Group Logistics. Conference sessions will focus on specific topics: market trends and technology; recycling and sustainability; and shrink sleeve printing and conversion. The program will include the AWA real-time industry survey with participants, providing an overview of the market’s potential. Networking opportunities will exist around the supplier tabletop exhibition and at the evening cocktail reception on opening day.

ISLCE will present the 2019 AWA International Sleeve Label Awards to winners selected by a panel of expert judges. On April 3, ISLCE participants are invited to a complimentary visit to The Netherlands’ leading packaging exhibition, Empack, in Brabanthallen-Hertogenbosch. Transport to/from the show, lunch and an evening cocktail reception will be provided, along with seats at a special sleeve label seminar.
