The PRINTING United Digital Experience wraps up on January 31 after three months of free, invaluable programming which was made available virtually to the global printing community in order to continue to serve industry needs in 2020. The Digital Experience connected the industry with subject matter experts speaking to COVID-19 considerations and business recovery, the very latest research and statistics, sales and marketing insight, technology briefings and more. Market segments across all verticals have benefited from leading education as well as having the opportunity to view the newest industry technology to date. Once the platform closes on January 31, the show will officially focus all efforts on reconnecting the industry at the PRINTING United Expo being held at the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) in Orlando, Florida, on October 6-8, 2021.
The PRINTING United Digital Experience has welcomed more than 8,600 attendees from more than 6,000 companies in 109 countries. More than 130,000 page views of the Digital Experience accounted for over 8,000 hours of programming viewed throughout the course of the three-month event. Before the online experience has even concluded, over 65% of the show floor has been sold for the in-person Expo in October.
Mark J. Subers, president, PRINTING United, stated that PRINTING United Expo has become the gathering place for likeminded professionals looking to grow and safeguard their business practices. In 2020, this took place in the form of a virtual event; in 2021 the organization is committed to building a comprehensive platform that best serves the industry, as well as adheres to the most stringent, up-to-the-minute health and safety guidelines for those companies that truly have a need to be together in person again. The demand is great and PRINTING United will be methodical and measured to its approach in working with local and state organizations, as well as communicating the precise measures being taken to safely and successfully hold this highly anticipated event.
The PRINTING United Expo venue, the Orange County Convention Center, and the closest major airport to OCCC, the Orlando International Airport, both have received the Global Biorisk Advisory Council® (GBAC) STAR™ accreditation on outbreak prevention, response and recovery. As a division of the International Sanitary Supply Association (ISSA), GBAC STAR™ is an industry accreditation that provides third-party validation to ensure the implementation of rigorous protocols in response to biorisk situations. Focused on ensuring a clean, safe and healthy environment, the program establishes requirements to assist venues by providing best practices, protocols and procedures to control risks associated with COVID-19. Recognized as the gold standard of safe venues, the OCCC is one of the largest venues in the nation to receive the GBAC STAR™ accreditation.
