K, the world’s No. 1 trade fair for Plastics, will take place October 19-26, 2022, in Düsseldorf, Germany, presenting new products and innovations from all sectors of the industry including, but not limited to production and processing to mechanical engineering. K’s special show, “Plastics shape the future,” is presented by Plastics Europe Deutschland (PED) and Messe Düsseldorf, and it will focus on three key topics – climate protection, circular economy and digitalization.
With seven days centered on “Plastics shape the future,” speeches, keynotes and panel discussions will bring high-profile guests from politics, science and the industry, as well as NGOs, to the trade fair.
At the start of the trade fair, among the key topics and challenges will be attention placed on the implementation of the results from the “Reshaping Plastics” report presented by the European think-tank SystemIQ in April 2022. The report outlines several scenarios for increasing the circularity of plastics and reducing greenhouse gas emissions in Europe.
The following days of the trade fair will look at the plastics industry’s concrete paths toward greenhouse gas neutrality and at plastics as enablers of the clean energy transition. The goal is to ensure the special show enriches the extensive range of exhibits at K 2022.
