Two members of the IMDA Board of Directors have stepped down after years of dedicated service to the association and the industry.
Tim Curnutt is president and CEO of Distinctive Plastics, a Vista, California, company established in 1981. Distinctive Plastics is a contract manufacturing specializing in multi-shot molding, in-mold decoration, in-mold assembly, vertical-insert molding and medical device molding.
Joseph Hirtzer serves as president of Global Packaging International in Rolling Meadows, Illinois.
“Tim and Joe have been incredibly valuable members of the IMDA leadership team since the beginning of the association,” said Bob Travis, president of the IMDA Board. “For 20 years, they have added guidance and support as the IMDA has grown into an international leader in the in-mold decorating, labeling and electronics space.”
Joining the IMDA Board are Scott Tacosik and Keith Farthing.
Tacosik is director of sales – Business Area Plastics for KURZ Transfer Products. He has significant experience in graphics and plastics, with 15 years at KURZ and eight years prior to that at Jindal Films. In addition, he is highly involved in the areas of sustainability and recyclability.
Farthing has been with Polyfab, an injection molding company specializing in in-mold decorating, since 2016. His previous experience includes two decades at injection molding companies and seven+ years at tooling companies.
