Branson Ultrasonics Announces New Power Supply Generation
Plastics Decorating
New functions improve process stability and weld quality in Branson Ultrasonics’ new F models of DCX generators.
Branson Ultrasonics, a division of Emerson Industrial Automation, Danbury, Connecticut, has integrated a series of functions that improve process stability and weld quality into its new F models of DCX generators.
Equipped with a PROFIBUS and Ethernet/IP interface, the new DCX-F power supplies can communicate with PLC systems in real time. The converter is capable of collecting information about the damping behavior of the softening weld material. Constantly running frequency analyses in the background, the Branson power supplies ensure they are operating at the optimal efficiency level. The DCX-F models are available in three sizes for cabinet integration in vertical or horizontal designs and for installation in a 19 rack mount. They operate at frequencies of 20, 30 and 40 kHz. The output power is between 800 and 4,000 Watt, depending on the design.
