ITW Pillar Technologies Develops Surface Treatment System

ITW Pillar Technologies Develops Surface Treatment System

Plastics Decorating

ITW Pillar Technologies, Hartland, Wisconsin, has developed an electronic surface treatment electrode gapping system.

Known as the eGap™ system, the feature is said to solve a major surface treatment set-up problem for users of corona and atmospheric plasma stations – namely, precise air-gap setting. With eGap, the electrode-to-ground roll gap is electronically set at an extremely high tolerance from an operator’s HMI panel. The eGap feature is said to be operating reliably on both wide and narrow web treating systems shipped and installed domestically and internationally.
