Stepping Up Social Media

I find myself looking on LinkedIn a great deal more these days. The content and information have improved, and it has become the “go to” social media for business, in my opinion.

With both Plastics Decorating and the In-Mold Decorating Association (IMDA), we have focused more resources to include fresh material on our LinkedIn pages and posts on a consistent basis. Our Communications Coordinator, Sayler Peplinski, has helped us take social media to a new level for all our publications. I encourage our readers to go to LinkedIn and connect to either or both pages and keep up on all of Sayler’s great posts.

We also will be launching new Enewsletters in 2025 with a new look and easier navigation. Look for this to begin in January, as well.

For this issue of Plastics Decorating, we have a focus on in-mold decorating. We have four pages recognizing all of the 2024 IMDA Award winners from this past competition that were announced during the Plastic Product Decorating Summit in September. We also have included an application highlight on one of the winners (the Heinz Ketchup condiment dispenser) that was entered by Sussex IM and is displayed on the cover of this issue.

We have plenty of articles and information in this issue for the direct-to-object decorators as well. This includes a very interesting article on pad printing advantages for medical devices and a look at how to respond to field failures in plastics decorating by our Technical Editor, Paul Uglum.

It is hard to believe that 2025 is around the corner. It has been an exciting year with so much activity from NPE to our Plastic Product Decorating Summit. As I write my Viewpoint, we are preparing to head off to Chicago for Pack Expo to close out the trade show and conference season. As always, I want to thank our readers and advertisers for their support of Plastics Decorating. I look forward to a great 2025!
