ASTM International Seeks Partners for Center of Excellence

In an organizational first, ASTM International, West Conshohocken, Pennsylvania, announced it will establish a center of excellence in the field of additive manufacturing (AM), also known as 3D printing.

Late in 2017, the organization called for industry-university proposals aimed at creating a global innovation hub that advances AM technical standards, related R&D, education and training, and more. The center will be supported with up to $250,000 annually for up to five years, provided from funds and in-kind contributions. The winning proposal will be announced in early 2018.
