Less than a week remains to enter the In-Mold Decorating Association’s annual awards competition, which recognizes the industry’s best IML packaging, IMD durable products and in-mold electronics (IME) in multiple categories. Entries will not be accepted after April 15.
The IMDA awards committee has restructured and condensed this year’s contest into five categories. They are:
- Best Part Design
- Best Label Design (includes appliques and inserts)
- Best In-Mold Decorated Package (includes injection molded, thermoformed and blow-molded entries)
- Best In-Mold Decorated Durable Part (includes injection molded, thermoformed and blow-molded entries)
- Best Technical Achievement
Competition winners will be honored at the 2019 IMDA Symposium Awards Ceremony “Celebration of Winners” and Dinner on June 3 at the Franklin Marriott Cool Springs in Franklin, Tennessee. Also, winners will be displayed on the IMDA website and newsletter, in Plastics Decorating magazine and at the annual PMMI “Showcase of Packaging Innovations”™ and IMDA booth at PACK Expo, Sept. 23-25 in Las Vegas.
