Only a year ago, Verstraete IML, Batavia, Ohio, started producing in mold labels in the US. By summer 2019, the company wanted to certify its processes and prove its dedication concerning quality of production and food safety by starting a certification trajectory for ISO9001 and BRC Packaging.

ISO9001 is a guarantee for a high-quality operation, and BRC Packaging ensures a food-safe operation and product. During four days in July, two auditors inspected the operators, the processes and the management systems.

The Verstraete IML US facility was complimented for its “clean working environment with highly educated and cooperative people” and was awarded with the ISO9001 and the BRC Packaging certificate.
