AMI, a provider of information, market intelligence and events for the global plastics industry, has announced that free registration has opened for four plastics industry expos and conferences in Cleveland, Ohio.
Organized by AMI, the Plastics Extrusion World Expo, Plastics Recycling World Expo, Compounding World Expo and the Polymer Testing World Expo will all take place at the Huntington Convention Center in Cleveland, Ohio, on Nov. 4-5, 2020.
By registering in advance, visitors will receive free admission to all four exhibitions, featuring more than 240 leading suppliers, plus free entry to five conference theaters hosting technical presentations, educational seminars and business debates. Attendees and exhibitors will also have the option to buy tickets (just $40 each) for a networking party at the Punch Bowl Social on the evening of Nov. 4.
“The event will provide visitors with a great opportunity to meet and compare suppliers from around the world, as well as giving them the chance to learn from business leaders and technical experts in the conference theaters,” said Rita Andrews, head of exhibitions at AMI. “When we ran these expos in Cleveland last year, we attracted 4,375 visitors, making them the biggest plastics industry gathering in the USA in 2019.”
The exhibitor line-up already includes such companies as Amut, BYK, Cardinal Recycling, Clariant, Coperion, CPM Century Extrusion, Cumberland, Davis-Standard, Dover Chemical, Dynisco, Entek, Erema, Geon, Heritage Plastics, Intertek, Konica Minolta, KraussMaffei, Leistritz, Macro, Maguire, Matsui, Milliken, Netzsch, NGR, Nordson, Omya, PerkinElmer, PTi, Reifenhäuser, Q-Lab, SI Group, Struktol, Thermo Fisher, Vecoplan, Windmoeller & Hoelscher, and hundreds more.

In addition to the main event, AMI has announced a series of one-day conferences co-located with the tradeshows in Cleveland. The conferences, taking place Nov. 3, 2020, at the Huntingdon Convention Center, bring together experts to discuss Performance Polyamides, 3D Printing Plastics and Plastics Regulations. A fourth one-day event, Developing the Modern Workforce, is jointly organized with Plastics News and runs at the same time.
Performance Polyamides welcomes the international supply chain for a full day of high-level presentations exploring the latest technical and application developments, market trends and topical challenges happening in the industry.
3D Printing Plastics explore the developments, production and applications of innovative polymers and compounds for 3D printing and other rapid manufacturing technologies. 3D printing, also known as additive manufacturing, is growing globally with increasingly customized materials being used to fulfil the expanding scope of applications.
Plastics Regulations provides expert analysis and guidance on a range of international legislative and regulatory issues that impact on polymer producers, compounders, processors and end users doing business in the US and beyond. The conference will provide a rare opportunity to gain focused advice on a range of compliance issues.
Developing the Modern Workforce, jointly organized by AMI and Plastics News, addresses issues involved with developing today’s workforce and coming up with fresh tools to attract and retain workers and sustain long-term growth. The conference will look at all areas of workforce development, including attracting future leaders and both white and blue-collar employees that meet the needs of a plastics processing company.
