Corotec, East Haven, Connecticut, a leading supplier of corona treatment systems, announces that Tom Ignatowski will lead sister company Thermatool as president in addition to leading Corotec.

Ignatowski’s expanded role will benefit Corotec with global service and parts support amid the larger Inductotherm Group network of over 40 locations worldwide.
Part of Inductotherm Group and Corotec’s “Global Yet Local” strategy, Ignatowski will direct operations with an eye to further deliver on Corotec’s core competencies and recognized strengths, including:
- Global manufacturing and service: Ensuring rapid service and parts availability maintains seamless operations and enables quick response to customer demands.
- Product longevity: Supporting products from 1986 to the present ensures maximum equipment lifespan and performance for customers.
- Aftermarket support: Offering quick parts availability minimizes customer downtime and ensures equipment reliability. Specialized lab services validate customer applications and optimize processes.
Ignatowski began his career with the Inductotherm Group of companies as a service engineer in 1992 and rose to direct the HF Welding and Heating Division. Throughout his tenure, Ignatowski has been instrumental in developing numerous new technologies and holds multiple patents.
“I am focused on maintaining and strengthening relationships with our valued customers,” Ignatowski said. He plans to integrate the latest advancements in hardware, software and IoT connectivity to enhance process efficiency of their products.

Additionally, John Kalinowsky has joined Corotec as an electromechanical project engineer to take on part of Ignatowski’s responsibilities. He will aid in developing solutions to meet industry needs, overseeing projects through production and supporting customers and equipment.

Prior to joining Corotec, Kalinowsky has held numerous management, sales and engineering roles. He earned his bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from Northeastern University in Boston and his master’s in electrical and computer engineering from Fairfield University in Connecticut.
