If there was any year to make a splash as an expert in in-mold decorating and labeling, 2024 is it. Three major industry tradeshows will be on North American soil, and IMDA will be exhibiting at all three.
First up will be NPE2024 in Orlando, Florida, in May. After a six-year absence, the plastics industry will be gathering to show off the new technologies and industry advances. IMDA will be in the West Hall, talking to brand owners, molders, label printers, automation suppliers and more about in-mold labeling and decorating advantages and how to find the best partners (by talking to our IMDA members, of course!) We’ll also exhibit at Labelexpo Americas in September and PACK EXPO International in November, with both shows located in Chicago, Illinois.
All of this visibility will lead us to an exciting milestone for our board of directors and the IMDA team: The In-Mold Decorating Association will celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2025! IMDA to Return to Milwaukee in 2024 for Plastic Product Decorating Summit
After a successful inaugural event in 2023, the Plastic Product Decorating Summit will return to the Milwaukee area, September 18-20, at the Milwaukee Marriott West in Waukesha, Wisconsin. The event is hosted by the In-Mold Decorating Association (IMDA) and Plastics Decorating magazine. Drawing conference attendees from a wide range of market segments – OEMs, brand owners, molders, decorators, and those providing equipment and consumables – the Plastic Product Decorating Summit brings together members of the plastics industry to learn, listen and discuss all types of direct-to-object plastic decorating and in-mold decorating, labeling and electronics applications. Technical programming and industry panel discussions address issues facing attendees, and a Supplier Trade Fair offers opportunities to learn from industry-leading exhibitors. IMDA New Members
The In-Mold Decorating Association (IMDA) has welcomed the Association of Plastics Recyclers (APR) as a new member to the organization that includes molders, label printers, material suppliers and equipment manufacturers that are committed to the development and growth of in-mold decorating products, technologies and markets.The Association of Plastics Recyclers (APR) is a US-based international nonprofit and the only North American organization focused exclusively on improving recycling for plastics. APR’s tools and resources help companies design packaging that can be recycled, support innovations that overcome existing recycling challenges, and encourage stable and reliable markets for post-consumer recycled content.
